On the subject of airport locations, we’d like also to cover Glasgow Prestwick Airport, which is in fact even further from Glasgow city centre than Glasgow Airport. Glasgow Prestwick is around one hour by road from Glasgow city and is located in Ayrshire in south west Scotland.
Ayrshire is a vast, mainly rural area steeped in history and the ancestral home of ‘the Bard’ himself – Robert Burns. The village of Alloway was his birthplace and his family home, accompanied by a fascinating visitor centre, is now open to the public. Edinburgh – our capital city, which I’m sure needs no introduction!
Edinburgh Airport is located around 30 minutes from the city centre and here we operate from the Eastfield Road car park which is one of the main car parks located within the airport perimeter.
Once again Clarkson’s operate a no-cost meet and greet service and your Clarkson rental car will be waiting in the car park which is a two-minute transfer on the shuttle bus.
