Short-Term Van Hire for Tradesmen
Some people say size isn’t everything but when it comes to van hire sometimes size IS everything!
We have a printer who has large machinery to move and he likes to use our LWB High Roof Citroen Relay van as it has 6ft 5′ in height to accommodate the size of his machinery. He only requires it for short delivery trips and so his hires are only for one or two days and the excellent short-term van hire rates here at Clarksons make perfect sense to him.
Recently a Glasgow carpet fitter contacted us as his one and only van had broken down and would take his garage a week to get spare parts. Immediately we knew the van he needed to hire; a Jumbo transit van so that he can fit in 4-meter rolls of carpet.
We also had a mobile bar company that needed an additional van for an especially big outdoor, weekend marquee event they were supplying bars for in Paisley. We suggested they hire a Luton van with tail lift as the tail lift could lift all their equipment and booze in as well as fitting in the mobile bar.
Long-Term Van Hire For Businesses
Some businesses find long-term van hire more cost-effective for them; they don’t have the overheads of buying a new van, insurance, tax, vehicle value depreciating, etc. and we often talk to businesses small and large about how our long-term van rental service can help them.
For example, we were asked by a solar energy startup business if they could hire long wheelbase vans to cope with the length of their solar panels. They had everything in place for them to start trading except for their vans but were looking for a cost-efficient alternative to shelling out for a new van. We listened to their requirements and within a week they were in business!
We also have a number of roofing companies that use our vans fitted with roof racks for carrying their ladders.
